Day 262: Anything worth having is worth working for. How true is that! To see an awesome mountain top vista, you must climb to get there. To be an Olympian, you must work hard and train constantly. To be a PhD, you must focus all of your attention on your studies.
So why is it that we recognize that, and actually praise that kind of effort, and yet we constantly look for the easy way out?
A Christian walk is work. It's not easy. There are numerous trials. Many see the steep path ahead, and go for the easy way. But that doesn't develop us spiritually; it doesn't grow our relationship with God. When things are easy, our focus wanders. When things are hard, our focus is on the end goal.
The gate may be small, and the road difficult, but the rewards are too great to comprehend.
Please, God, bless!
"Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the road is spacious that leads to destruction, and many people are entering by it." Matt 7:13
Inspired by "365: A Daily Creativity Journal: Make Something Every Day and Change Your Life!" I decided I should be more conscientious of my creative side. I chose to modify this one year challenge (9/23/14-9/24/15) to create something each day that would also force me to focus my perspective on a Godly world-view.
