Day 340: Doodling while watching football makes for a quick sketch. Inspired today by the miracles we witness every day, and almost take for granted. Watching as Keenan Robinson of the Redskins pounded Kamar Aiken of the Ravens head first into the ground. It's a miracle the man's neck isn't broken.
Think about it. How many times have you had a near miss in traffic? Or a health scare that turned out to be nothing? Maybe you have witnessed some truly wonderful, amazing things that defy all logic or reason. It is so easy to to focus on the many things that happen that don't turn out the way we would like, and less likely that we remember all of the times when things could have been much, much worse and we were spared a trial.
In the world today people are always asking for a sign, for something they can pinpoint to say God is real. They fail to realize that God's hand saves constantly. The signs they seek are there, and yet the world continues to scoff and want more...and usually more means something in their will, not God's. They want a magician, or a genie, not a God.
Robinson and Aiken should both be thanking God for a miracle today. It could have been much worse, something they both would have suffered over. I thank God for his precious miracles every day.
Please, God, bless!
"The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him. And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.” Mark 8:11-12 ESV
Inspired by "365: A Daily Creativity Journal: Make Something Every Day and Change Your Life!" I decided I should be more conscientious of my creative side. I chose to modify this one year challenge (9/23/14-9/24/15) to create something each day that would also force me to focus my perspective on a Godly world-view.
